Position: Lead Applications Engineer- HFM
Pay Rate: DOE
Duration: 2~6 months

Location: San Francisco, CA
Description:
• The purpose of this position is to lead the execution of Hyperion Financial Management solutions supporting the Financial Consolidations area and their tactical initiatives to achieve both short and long-term business results.
• Partner with cross-functional IT organizations and respective business partners in Finance to enhancement and optimize the existing HFM application in support of IT and business strategic plans
• Responsibility for leading the technical support team within the HFM area, which inclues providing support and coaching to the technical team, located both onsite and offshore
• Serve as technical subject matter expert in the Financial Consolidations area
• Provide Level 3 support to the Regional and Corporate business Units on Hyperion FM and FDM applications including systems troubleshooting and problem resolution, analysis and ad hoc reporting.
• Maintain Service Level Agreements for all application systems
• Refine procedures to design, development, test and install problem fixes and enhancements, and ensure the stability of the application
• Deliver approved systems and releases as committed to with business partners
• Manage tactical plans and currently prioritized projects and/or enhancements, executing the Project Life Cycle methodology
• Communicate progress and status to management on a regular basis and consult with other IT Organizations and business partners to provide technical direction, design and estimates for projects and change requests
• Work with the business to develop business requirements and processes related to IT application systems and recommend actions to be taken in order to achieve both short- and long-term goals
• Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced team members
• Maintain expert knowledge in all application systems within assigned areas of responsibility and develop knowledge in additional areas of responsibility
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor´s degree in Computer Science (8+ years of combined college education and work experience may be substituted for a degree)
• Minimum 5 years experience working with applications, operating systems, platforms, domains or environments
• Minimum 3 years experience working with Hyperion FM in an Administrative/Development capacity
Additional Qualifications
• Experience to include Hyperion Essbase a plus
• Previous experience as a project management lead in Finance systems
• Complete understanding of and ability to apply technical principles, theories and concepts in the field, including understanding of programming/development life cycle
• Working knowledge of financial reporting
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Working knowledge of process modeling
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
