Position Overview / Responsibilities
The Senior Product Manager takes an active part in the success of Roxio-branded consumer digital media software. Driven by a strong interest in digital photo or video, he or she plays a critical role in the definition of new products that address the needs of families and other consumers. The Senior Product Manager works closely with teams distributed across the US and the world, including Engineering and QA teams located in China. He or she drives to on-time completion products that consumers want to buy and enjoy using and cooperates with the User Interaction team to ensure a first class user experience. The Senior Product Manager helps define the go-to-market strategy and assists the Product Marketing and Sales teams with product launches.
Qualifications
A strong team player, the Senior Product Manager demonstrates very good listening and communications skills
He or she is able to work on multiple projects at the same time
A good problem solver with a high sense of priorities, the Senior Product Manager “makes things happenâ€
A strategic thinker, the Senior Product Manager proposes new product directions and works with management to establish the product roadmap
He or she knows how to stay in touch with the users of the product and understands well what delights or frustrates them
A hands-on, detail-oriented person, the Senior Product Manager is an authority on the product and carefully guides its implementation
Skills and Experience
Typically 7+ year high-tech industry experience
5+ year experience in consumer software product management
Mandarin language a helpful skill
Education
BA/BS or above, or equivalent work experience
