Position Overview / Responsibilities:
The Sr. Program Manager, Web Services will drive projects from initiation to delivery, including requirements solicitation and refinement, design and definition of service features and Use Cases, cross-team planning, API specification creation, management of project progress and project execution, and facilitation of cross-team and cross-division communication. The Sr. Program Manager will need to have a BA/BS in Computer Science or a related discipline, a technical grasp of SOAP and REST based web services, APIs, and data delivery, and a history of successful deployments of consumer facing multi-farm internet/web services and databases.
Qualifications:
A passion for entertainment guidance, content delivery, and a desire to be a part of some ground-breaking cross-platform personalization work
Solid background in business, functional, and technical requirements collection, analysis, and refinement
Ability to create detailed medium-level feature specifications and Use Cases based upon input from various stakeholders
A technical grasp of web services (both SOAP and REST based), APIs and data delivery
Proven track record in on-time delivery of software products and services, experience with consumer products and internet-facing services preferred
A strong history of successful deployments of consumer facing multi-farm internet/web services and databases
Strong project management skills in planning, executing, controlling, and closing multiple projects concurrently
Very good working knowledge of the software development lifecycle with experience managing both waterfall and agile based software projects
Ability to proactively identify and manage project risk
Ability to build a project schedule and manage dependencies (MS Project preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Requirements:
BA/BS or MS Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
7 â€" 10 years of experience working in / with web services, data delivery and /or APIs.
5+ years of project management experience as project lead in software development, project management, quality assurance, or a related technology field
Hands-on experience building, designing, web services and APIs a definite plus
Creative, out-of-the-box thinkers and problem solvers are encouraged to apply
PMP certification a plus
Master degree preferred
