Seeking a talented back-end web developer that can lead a project team and write clean, fast, maintainable code while keeping an unwavering eye on the big picture. Ideal candidates will have the ability to easily convey technical concepts and be the voice of the tech team in client meetings. If you're interested in working with a small tightly-knit group that is passionate about great web experiences and appreciates the intricacies of doing development right, then this is the job for you!
Our weapons of choice are PHP5 and MySQL but willing to work work with developers who have deep understanding of any other object oriented web development languages.
●Ability to work in a team environment, working with both technical and non-technical people.
●Strong leadership skills and the ability to work with non-tech people to understand their needs and propose technical solutions.
●Deep understanding of an object oriented web language such as PHP5.
●XHTML/CSS/Javascript/AJAX - Expert level Javascript/XHTML/CSS development will be necessary, jQuery experience preferred.
●MySQL - Modern database development expertise, words like ´trigger´ and ´view´ should be part of your vocabulary
●Object Oriented Development / CS Background - You should be intimately familiar with object oriented development, and apply OO concepts to everything they do. Formal CS background or experience preferred
●Ability to look at the big picture: we´re not the sort of organization where we´ll give you a task and you can go off in a corner and code it. You need to look at the big picture, and proactively anticipate problems and come up with solutions.
●Self-Starter - Looking for candidates who can jump in quickly without a lot of direction

We operate over 30 web sites so the work is often varied but you're always working with top tier brands. Hours are regular and project deadlines reasonable. Looking for someone who can regularly come into our downtown Oakland office.
