Senior/Lead Software Application Engineer -PCIe, Kernel, embedded, Linux, customer interfacing
Location- Newark CA and Phoenix Arizona
Must have:PCIe, Kernel, embedded Linux, customer interfacing exp.
Description:
Architect, Design, develop and support various customer designs in Wireless LAN applications (11n and 11ac), including WLAN, network processors & related network products a plus.
Provide inputs to marketing & core engineering in future product development
Participate & support system architecture tasks of customer platforms.
Provide customer design support in detailed software architecture, hardware/software partitioning & driver development, using Internet Protocol (IP) & related technologies and domains, like UDP, TCP & IGMP, IPv4/6, MII, Ethernet also PCIe, MAC, routers & switches & bridges.
Perform embedded software development on embedded System-on-Chip (SoC) environment for device drivers & networking protocols, & OS kernel internals, Linux/Unix.
Resolve customer software design & system integration problems
Participate in the manufacturing design process from the initial phase of development through to system performance verification & software QA test plans
Working on different CPU architectures (including ARM, MIPS, ARC) & various RTOS Linux, QNX, VxWorks, perform precision coding with real-time OS timing, program access to hardware devices, & perform embedded software debugging
Able to track, prioritize incoming requests from the field & guide internal development.
Requirements:
Must have: PCIe, embedded Linux, customer interfacing exp.
7+ years exp. of application engineer, and/or software engineer, in embedded system.
Willing to deal with customer & field issues.
Strong problem-solving skill to isolate & vresolve issue.
Experience with switch, router, gateway networking device development,
Experience with WIFI (802.11) application and/or driver development
Experience with embedded Linux and/or Vxworks
Experience with ARM/MIPS and/or other architecture embedded platform.
Familiarity with co-working with hardware engineer for system issue
International travel is required.
Chinese (Mandarin) speaking is very much desired!~
