Systems Engineer (#1320)

Symmetricom is in search of a Systems Engineer to support our Boulder, CO based Government Programs team.
Content
Follows established standards and practices in assisting with the development of a product from product definition through release to production. Provides production support for a specific product or group of products. May monitor and record yields and/or performance and summarize results for review.
Scope
Assignments are task-oriented with detailed instruction given. Follows standard practices to resolve routine problems.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Experience in:
* Using laboratory test equipment for engineering prototype evaluation including:
* * * Spectrum Analyzers* * * Oscilloscopes
* Building new control software for test automation
* Creating new algorithms for data analysis, using digital signal processing techniques that are specific to precision time series analysis and frequency stability analysis
* Analyzing channels and protocols for wireless data communication
Other requirements
* Travel to customer sites for product installation and troubleshooting
* Documentation of work activities in the form of test result briefings and research result briefings
* US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Background
* 4-year Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Applied Physics, or equivalent.
* Must be willing to relocate to the Boulder, Colorado area.
* Must submit to a U.S. Government background check for security clearance.
* Proficiency in MS Office applications: MS Word, MS Powerpoint, MS Excel
* Proficiency in C and Python.
