Senior Embedded kernel/Linux Software Engineer- L2/L3
Location- Sunnyvale, CA
Job Description
MUST HAVE: Linux kernel, L2/L3 network programming exp.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test & deliver embedded Linux software & new features from conception to release.
Work with software engineer team to solve difficult design & development issues.
Assist members from QA, Engineering & Support teams to troubleshoot & debug software related issues.
Actively participate in monitoring & troubleshooting production platform issues.
Skills & Experience:
MUST HAVE: Linux kernel, L2/L3 network programming exp.
5+ years of software development experience
2+ years hands-on Linux kernel, L2/L3 network programming experience
Experience with networking stacks and routing protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, RIPv2, BGP, etc)
Experience with L2/L3 switching protocols VLAN
Experience with Linux embedded systems with limited RAM & flash memory
Strong C/C++ programming & debugging skills
Experience with PCI bus, kernel optimization & debugging tools like logic analyzers & gdb.
Excellent communication verbal & written & teamwork skills
Knowledge of additional protocols including Frame Relay & MPLS
Knowledge of IPSEC VPN & Linux Firewall is a plus.
Compensation:
Excellent salary DOE, Per-IPO stock, bonus, 401k, full beneffits.
