Database Engineer needed for excellent start up company with bleeding edge Big Data technologies.

Can pay up to 150k DOE plus benefits, stock.

Seeking an experienced and driven Database Engineer, looking to make a difference in the Big Data space, to contribute to the efforts of a cutting edge start-up. Excellent, long term opportunity for a well-funded company.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the Development of Big Data Products and Technologies including Database Internals, Distributed Systems, Systems Design.
Requirements

BS required, MS preferred
10+ years industry experience
12-18+ months minimum experience in the Big Data space
Hadoop/HBase/Hive internals (open source committers preferred)
Database Internals (SQL/noSQL databases, indexing, query optimization, transaction processing, distributed database architectures)
Google Technologies: Tenzing, Dremel, BigTable, etc.
Distributed Systems (concurrent programming, parallel processing)
Systems design for scaling/performance, low latency, and high availability
Plus Skills

Experience in Big Data Product Development
Java, JVM
Building Applications on top of Hadoop
Derby database internals
ODBC driver development
