Engineering Project Manager Job Description:
eGain is looking for a great Engineering Project Manager to be a part of our cutting edge Product Development team to help define, build and maintain the next generation of eGain's award winning products. The Engineering Project Manager will work in a highly collaborative, geographically distributed environment with other skilled software professionals and manage complex software development projects. Individuals in this role will need to have excellent technical and communication skills, enjoy the challenge and satisfaction of delivering quality products and be eager to work and thrive in fast-paced environment. You will be surrounded by equally eager and passionate professionals, who will work with you on creating high-quality, robust and scalable enterprise applications.

Responsibilities
• Work closely with eGain's Product Management, Product Design, Engineering, QA, Marketing, and Documentation teams in planning and tracking all of the Product deliverables.
• Plan and track the release activities for all releases spanning cross functional teams.
• Provide clear and up-to-date visibility to Field teams and Management on the status of all Projects.
• Constantly look for mechanisms and tools to automate the Project Management related functions.
• Work with the project leads to identify and mitigate risks in a timely manner to avoid impact to delivery timelines or product quality.
• Closely track and publish the quality metrics of all deliverables highlighting any deviations from the target quality criteria.
• Work out of different geographies as needed to ensure closer coordination and context and knowledge sharing.
• Respond to questions from the field on the timeline and scope of planned product deliverables.

Job Requirement
• A technical degree with four to six years of experience ((2+ in Development, ~2 in Project Management) in the Software or Technical Consulting Industry in Project Management or Software Development or Software Testing.
• Experience with various Project Management software / techniques / tools is preferred.
• PMP Certification is preferred.
• Comfortable discussing technology concepts and terminology.
• Enjoys working as part of agile software teams.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• This position requires travel to eGain locations in India, approximately 3 to 4 trips per year to Delhi and Pune. Each trip would last about 2 to 3 weeks.
