RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and document methods of labeling and shipping of SanDisk and OEM branded products. Prefer retail and bulk shipping experience, including palletization.
- Direct collaboration with Label and Shipping Material suppliers in USA and China.
- Create mechanical specifications, drawings, and work instructions (WI).
- Support creation of BOM's, and ECO's. Knowledge of Agile is preferred.
- Support offshore Contractor Manufacturer (CM) activities as a representative of SDUS team. DFX experience is preferred.
- Collaborate R&D activities with China suppliers of connectors, and components (switches, LED, lightpipe, etc.).
- Prefer working knowledge of materials and processes for plastics, and metals, including sheetmetal.
- Design of enclosures for SSD utilizing knowledge of Hard Drive industry Standards.
- Create and review Design Objective Specification (DOS) and Production Objective Specification (POS).
- Knowledge of Tolerance Analysis methods.
- Cost reductions.
- Support creation of BOM's, and ECO's. Knowledge of Agile is preferred.
- Understanding of FMEA and Six sigma is preferred.
- Occasional travel and weekly conference call to SanDisk China & SanDisk Israel.

EXPERIENCE:
- 1-3 years design/manufacturing experience of consumer products or computer products.
- Must have working knowledge of AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Microsoft Office Suite. Optional knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, Pro/Engineer, Bartender, Codesoft, and Allegro .
- Must have knowledge of manufacturing processes for plastics (injection molding, thermoform), sheetmetal stamping, metal casting, ultrasonic welding, and fastening.
- Knowledge of process control, and qualification is a plus.
- Basic understanding of thermal management for pcb components and materials used for connectors.
- English communications, both verbal and written, must be good.
- Must be willing to travel to SanDisk global locations, occasionally.

EDUCATION:
- BSME degree or equivalent.
