Wind River is looking for a Senior Engineer to be part of the engineering team of ONS (Open Network Software), an innovative approach to Network Switching development platform for the SDN market. This developer position reports to the Director of Software, ONS at Wind River.

As a Wind River Systems Software Developer, you´ll use the latest tools and technologies available to deliver state-of-the-art software. You´ll join a small team and therefore expected to make an impact on the final product. Responsibilities covered the complete s/w development cycle from designing through building testing and maintaining the software components.

The ideal candidate should have 2-5 years of software development experience in the following areas:
-Strong understanding of networking concepts (solid IP protocol)
-Routing (OSPFv2/v3, BGP, ISIS, RIP)
-Multicast routing (PIM/IGMP)
-IPv6
-Layer 2 protocols (VLAN, 802.1-related protocols such as STP/LACP, TRILL)
-Strong C++/C programming (programing done in C++)
-Good development experience in Linux environments
-Strong background in embedded systems programming & embedded hardware architecture
-Experience in developing drivers for network processors/switching ASICs
-Strong development experience in high performance centralized and distributed packet switching systems

Required

-Bachelor´s Degree
-At least 1 years of experience in L3 routing protocols (OSPFv2/v3, BGP, ISIS, RIP)
-At least 1 years of experience in in Layer 2 protocols (VLAN, Spanning Tree Protocol/LACP/TRILL) development
-At least 1-2 years of experience in Linux environments


Preferred

-Master´s Degree in Engineering
-English: Intermediate

The following are desirable:

-Knowledgeable in high availability implementations
-Familiarity with TCP/IP stack
-Computer architecture
