OTM seeking a QA Engineer - Automation for Fortune 500 Client Company. Pay rate $70-80/hour DOE.
**Local candidates with local experience preferred (Local = San Francisco Bay Area)**
This group develops products that focus on building world class applications and solutions to facilitate adoption of private and public cloud computing. We are a growing team and are looking for a strong software engineer for our application development. The ideal candidate for this role is someone with strong domain knowledge about web application development and excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
In this role you will be a key contributor for the engineering group and will help with bug fixing and feature development.
Responsibilities:
•Contribute to requirements gathering, architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise class applications including bug fixing, testing frameworks, feature development.
•Execute at rapid pace as a developer to deliver on software projects using proven development processes (Agile/SCRUM).
•Collaborate with product management, external product architects and engineers to implement new features and maintain existing features.
•Demonstrate willingness to adapt to emerging technological changes and work with multiple company products.
•Proven ability to handle multiple, complex technical projects and have the flexibility to work in a very dynamic environment.
Requirements:
•6+ years of experience JVM based open-source languages, tools and frameworks (such as Scala/Akka (BIG PLUS), Java/Spring, Databases).
•Deep knowledge of one or more open source technologies and frameworks like Scala, Akka, Spray, RESTful, Javascript.
•Experience with automation technologies (TestNG, JUNIT, Scalatest, Python based scripting).
•Experience using some combination of the following applications or technologies: application servers, databases, XML, Web Services (SOAP, REST).
•Demonstrated expertise in implementing and consuming RESTful Web Services.
•Demonstrable experience utilizing object-oriented patterns and design best practices.
•Excellent presentation, interaction and communication skills along with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional organizations.
•BS or MS degree in Computer Science and minimum of 6+ years of software development experience is required.
