We seek someone to design and implement a high-reliability infrastructure for, and powerful applications on top of, the Vigilent artificial intelligence engine within a distributed client-server environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Review how data is stored and accessed to improve performance and scalability.
• Analyze product requirements, develop specifications, implement and analyze code, perform software reviews, complete risk and reliability analysis.
• Design, implement, and debug software designed to run in a distributed client-server environment.
• Participate in all phases of the software development cycle.
• Document design and implementation decisions, system and software processes.
• Make key contributions and inventions that advance the state of the art energy management and dynamic cooling control.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• BS or MS in Computer Science.
• 5+ years professional work experience.
• Experience working on mission-critical applications in product focused environment. Proven delivery of product to market is a must.
• Very strong Linux experience.
• Very strong programming skills in C++, SQL, and relational databases.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design and programming principles.
• Experience with multiple types of databases, including NoSQL.
• Experience with version control systems.
• Experienced in design of complex client-server software.
• Experienced in multi-threaded software development.
• Ability to conceptualize and design new applications and software components from the ground up, implement code, and design/execute unit tests.
• Ability to pass background security check, including drug screening.
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• 3+ years of experience in design and implementation of time series databases or historian databases.
• Developing database application in the collection, management, and analysis of Big Data.
• IEOR (Industrial Engineering and Operations Research) background helpful.
