[KITlist-Tech] CONTR: Test Developer (Java, OOD) (Silicon Valley, CA)

OTM seeking a Software Engineer for Fortune 500 Client Company. Pay rate $45-50/hr DOE.

**Local candidates with local experience preferred (Local = San Francisco Bay Area)**

Responsibilities:

• Test design, implementation, execution, debugging and automation using Java along with basic Windows and Linux system administration
• Track bugs related to the group and escalate bugs to engineering as needed
• Propose and Participate in design and code reviews to enhance feature testability
• Analyze automated test results

Requirements:

• Bachelors / Masters degree in Computer Science
• Strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems/networking
• Experience testing and releasing enterprise level network products
• Experience testing and releasing enterprise level shrink wrapped software products
• Ability to multitask and manage time on several concurrent tasks
• Proficiency in Core Java, OOD, data Structure and algorithms

Broad technical knowledge including:

- Operating system fundamentals (task scheduling, memory management)
- Familiarity with virtualization products
- Familiarity with WSDL, SOAP, REST, XML
- Basic systems administration (installing and configuring operating systems and hardware)
- Software development lifecycle
- Good software engineering practices
- Excellent software design principles
- Excellent communication skills required

Desirable Experiences:

• Knowledgeable in Perl/python
• Experience with virtualization products such as Workstation, ESX, Virtual Center, Converter, LabManager, Microsoft, Xen, Citrix and Parallels
