Our client is an established, global, software company. This company is red-hot and driving revenue and leading market share in their niche. Their end-to-end software offerings help to solve large scale business problems for global Fortune 2000 companies around the world. As a result of their ongoing growth this company is seeking proven pre-sales or consulting professionals with supply chain software experience to add to their team in this individual contributor role. Position title: Pre-Sales Director/Pre-Sales Consultant
Locations: Central and Eastern U.S. regions of the U.S.

Position description:

This is an individual contributor position where the qualified candidate for this role will have a consultative selling approach and the ability to understand and connect offerings and position solutions to their business needs. The candidate will know how to identify these customer needs, challenges, and opportunities for sales, and be able to pose questions to uncover business issues important to the customer as they relate to the supply chain.

Position responsibilities:

•Act in a pre-sales role as the subject matter expert on supporting supply chain processes and how they map to company solutions
•Formulate and deliver initial high level technical presentations/messaging and demonstrations to customers at all levels within their organization
•Strong solution selling approach to understand both the technical and business issues of customers and deliver high-value propositions
•Gather customer requirements and define solution to meets customer needs.
•Develop materials such as PowerPoint presentations, solution design documents, respond to RFPs/RFIs to provide technical content and support the sales team.
•Work with the product management team to understand market requirements and help define product strategy and roadmap.
•Act as a representative for the company at industry events, trade shows, and user groups.
•Educate customers, partners, industry analysts and prospects on company offerings.
•Keep updated on new product enhancements, business trends, supply chain best practices



Required/desired skills:

•5-7+ years' work experience in enterprise software or consulting with strong experience in technical pre-sales, and/or deployment of enterprise software solutions
•Strong presentation and communication skills with experience positioning and discussing solutions to both the business and technical audiences.
•Demonstrated ability to solve business problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed.
•Strong organizational skills with the ability to execute to a plan and demonstrate dependability and ownership
•Coordinate and facilitate business and technical workshops with the customer
•Industry knowledge in one of the following sectors: manufacturing, hi-tech, electronics, consumer product goods(CPG), retail, or automotive
•Experience with some advanced planning software offerings such as JDA/i2/Manugistics, Oracle, SAP, ICON, Kinaxis etc.
•Experience with Optimization techniques such as LP, IP, MILP, etc.
•Experience knowledge on Planning Heuristics techniques such as Order-By-Order, Depth-first, Breadth-fast, etc.
•Integration experience with major ERP´s and planning solutions
•Understanding of operational aspects of providing a SaaS solution, including hardware and software requirements
•Minimum of 4 year degree, advanced degree preferred
