We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Manager of Product Engineering for John Muir Health´s EBusiness team. This role has the opportunity to help define and implement components for a next-generation digital healthcare delivery platform. This leadership position, which reports to the Director of EBusiness, will be responsible for overall design and architecture of software solutions developed both internally and with strategic partners, as well as off-the-shelf software modules for the John Muir Health websites, liaising between Product Management, ITS, marketing, and operational departments to ensure John Muir Health offers healthcare consumers a competitive, functional, and integrated online experience for consumers, patients, physicians, and employees across all delivery channels, including mobile. Our team has a strong track record of success and you will lead them to the next level of performance while scaling the team to support John Muir Health´s continued strong growth. Essential Job Functions * Provide technical leadership for the development team Continuously refine our agile development environment to maximize quality and throughput. * Promotes shared infrastructure and applications to reduce costs and improve information flows. * Collaborate with product managers to establish product architectural roadmaps and release plans; and with operations on release delivery, deployments and production performance. * Manage implementation of roadmap of several features, complex system enhancements, and modifications to the systems. * Create forward looking architectural roadmap, socialize, schedule, implement, and deploy working with directly with Architectural team and other development teams. * Works with engineers to provide enterprise solutions that are secure, scalable, adaptable and in sync with rapidly changing business needs. * Keeps abreast of developing technologies and methodologies and stays current on newer patterns. * Works with key members of the management team to define and drive technical strategy and architectural direction for the platform. * Consults with Product Management leadership and develops solutions with the team. * Has direct management of EBusiness vendor partners; serves as the single point of contact on given projects and communicates respectively JOB REQUIREMENTS: * Undergraduate degree Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience required; graduate degree and/or MBA preferred. * Broad understanding of Internet technology and technology application in the business environment. * Minimum of two years of Agile development experience. * In-depth knowledge of engineering best practices. * Systems management design and implementation experience. * Must be able to proactively communicate status and identify risks. * Proven track record and 7 years experience developing complex web applications or Internet-based products. * Ability to establish credibility with high-level management with strong negotiating and influencing skills. * Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills. * Demonstrated experience managing a program that includes multiple projects, while ensuring overall process governance is implemented and followed. * Demonstrated ability to lead large, high performing teams to meet project goals with high quality. * Experience in managing and delivering across a combined in-source/out-source environment. * Minimum of three years experience as a manager with prior experience successfully managing external customer/partner relationships. * Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and suppliers, experience with Web and/or EBusiness organizations. * Ability to learn new technologies/tools, and evaluate applicability and fit to business requirements. * Results-focused, proactive and detail-oriented. * Experience in healthcare business a plus.
