*The BA will be specifically responsible for detailed query, content, & usage analysis which will result in recommendations for improving search relevancy for enterprise search. Someone who is detailed oriented and has excellent communications skills and a positive attitude. The person doesn�t necessarily have to have a search background but some knowledge in search, meta data, etc.


Key responsibilities

- As the Search Subject Matter Expert (SME), interact with the SME�s in various business units and functional domains, to gain an understanding of Enterprise Search requirements.

-Perform business requirements analysis and documentation using industry-standard methodologies

-Create and document business use cases for Search across the company, clearly articulating business processes with concrete examples. Complete business process improvement analysis and give recommendations

-Lead open discussions on forums, and gather requirements from various users across the Company, proactively; be able to
Prioritize business requirements and work with the PM to develop a roadmap for future phased releases of Search

-Conduct needs/gap analysis with current Enterprise Search Solution.

-Work with UX (user experience) team members and web developers to plan and articulate the design requirements for the front end user interface for search

-Work with user interface developers to ensure that they understand the user interface requirements for the Search interface (front end)

-Work with business unit SMEs during the development lifecycle to ensure what is implemented meets business requirements

-Work with IT to clarify requirements and generate test plans as needed during design, development, and test cycles

-Provide documentation and project status updates to PMs and management periodically regarding requirements and their prioritization, especially at project checkpoints and milestones

-Assist in testing of requirements during Test Cycles and ensure traceability of requirements through to launch

-Provide team leadership on the project team and work with global partners.

Skills Required:

- Strong business analysis skills and employment history, with business knowledge in Search applications, preferably Enterprise Search
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Industry-standard business analysis methodologies
- Results-oriented and a self-starter
- Team player that can help drive change through process analysis and improvement
- Willingness to learn about new technologies, and areas such as video and audio search, intranet and Web 2.0 applications
- Ability to exercise judgment and apply problem solving skills to obtain solutions
- Familiar with Project Life Cycle methodologies
- Business Analyst Certification preferred
- Comfortable working with standard applications for project management
- Experience working on intranet development projects required

Principal level database administration and support of a complex, 24x7, SQL Server environment. Work with a geographically dispersed team of database administrators in designing, implementing, and supporting production SQL Server environment. In conjunction with technical management and peer engineers, design database solutions based on stated business requirements and collaboration. Develop detailed implementation plans for complex scenarios, including upgrades, migrations, and builds. Facilitate technical discussions with peers and 3rd party resources to resolve service issues or complete project activities. Peer review technical documentation. Mentor more junior database administrators regarding industry standard best practices. Review performance and capacity trends and provide recommendations to management.

Key Responsibilities:
• Directly interact with the technical architects and drive database infrastructure solutions.
• Be expected to lead technical design activities, produce sizing estimates, consult on testing plans, and participate in all related software build and deployment activities.
• Be the primary technical staff responsible for application level operational production support. • Work closely with the IT Operations staff to diagnose and resolve escalated technical issues in the production systems.
• Participate in after hours on-call 24x7 support. Remote access options are available to accommodate after hours support.
• Plans, analyzes, designs, implements, maintains, and controls the organization�s databases.
• Define strategies for backups, migration of database changes, and longer term system growth
• Long term planning for scalability of the database infrastructure.
• Lead performance analysis and tuning of the databases and applications.
• Work on monitoring database systems & applications
• Develop health checks/monitors for monitoring systems
• Maintain and improve the build, management and deployment framework and participate in the design and documentation of this environment
• Establishes and enforces all database standards. Analyzes all informational requirements of new or production systems and develops database specifications. Establishes and enforces controls to ensure database integrity.
• Accurately logs and tracks all problems or work utilizing existing problem management or project management tools.
• Proposes solutions using data analysis for increased effectiveness/efficiency.
• Additional duties as assigned

Experience:
• 10 years of experience in the Information Technology field
• 7 years of direct SQL Server database administration
• 5 years of experience in designing complex database solutions
• 5 years of experience working in 24x7, fast paced, multi-clustered SQL Server environment
• 5 of experience implementing and maintaining high availability solutions, including clustering, mirroring, replication, and log shipping

Skills:
• Expert understanding of the T-SQL language.
• Expert understanding of SQL Server backup and restore concepts and implementations.
• Expert performance tuning and optimization skills.
• Expert understanding of index design and management.
• Expert understanding of SQL Server security concepts and implementations.
• Expert understanding of filegroups and data file layouts.
• Expert understanding of concurrency and locking concepts.
• Expert with SQL Server tools, including SSMS, Profiler, Tuning advisor, Business Intelligence Studio, and Configuration Manager.
• Expert understanding of SQL Server installations and configurations for stand-alone and clustered instances.

Resource Management

• Deploys resources efficiently and effectively to work on projects by participating actively in project proposals and the resource management processes.
• Monitors the scheduling of all work assignments for the team.
• Ensures that delivery dates are met with high-quality deliverables.
• Produces applicable reports to assess the team's productivity and quality of work.
• Motivates employees, ensuring an innovative and collaborative environment.
• Ensures appropriate counseling, coaching, and career path planning for each individual on the team, direct and indirect.
• Performs administrative activities such as performance appraisals, time sheet approvals, holiday planning, etc.
• Ensures team members grow in their abilities and competencies, including technical and soft skills.

Customer Service/Support Management

• Employs effective judgment in the responsive resolution of mission critical user inquiries, issues and concerns.
• Establishes a strong relationship with Business through successful project delivery and collaboration.
• Ensures the highest levels of customer service for business as well as IT partners.
• Ensures the highest levels of cooperation and teamwork throughout IT, and with business partners.

Financial Management

• Contributes to the development of the team's budget.
• Manages and monitors the capital and expense budgets for projects and assignments assigned.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in applicable field or equivalent experience
• Solid understanding and experience with at least one Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model. BS degree and 5+ years of experience in programming computer applications.
• Practical technical and business domain experience relative to custom and/or vendor applications.
• Solid background in current technologies (i.e., .NET, Java, HTML 5, Web portals, Web application architectures), development and automation tools, system design techniques, and a keen understanding of IT infrastructure and operational components
• Experience managing teams of 20 – 60 resources
• Significant understanding of software engineering approaches, methods and processes, as well as a sound understanding of version control alternatives, and the pro's and con's of each
• Progressive understanding of project implementation activities (e.g. management of scope, timeline and budget), SDLC and application development approaches
• Proven ability to design and refine team processes for optimum performance
• Sun Certifications for Java Architecture, Platforms, and/or Web Service development preferred
• Minimum of 7+ years of increasingly progressive IT management experience with proven ability to deliver
• Previous experience managing IT Applications functions - software development, engineering, implementation and support/maintenance services
• Previous Web Services integration experience with 3rd party online vendors such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Salesforce a definite plus.
• Previous experience in budget development and management
• Previous negotiation experience with large-scale vendors
• Must be able to demonstrate strong leadership abilities by applying good judgment, command respect, influence and inspire others to follow, hold others accountable, make difficult decisions and follow-through on decisions' results
• Must be able to demonstrate effective problem-solving skills and abilities
• Must be able to demonstrate sound judgment re: decisions with less than perfect information
• Able to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty, also be flexible and able to work in a fast moving and changing environment
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal – must be comfortable interacting with senior executives
• Must possess a high degree of effective team management – to be collaborative with all types and levels of organization within IT and Business
• Must be able to challenge the status quo in a thoughtful and respectful manner, proactively identifying innovation opportunities and leading change to realize continuous improvement
• Must have the ability to keep up to date with the emerging applications and technologies.

In this role, you would be a product ambassador and advocate of enterprise applications. Qualifications:

• Bachelor�s degree preferred, including studies in computer science or similar technical areas.
• 3+ years developing web sites and solutions (including web technologies like HTML, JavaScript, CSS).
• 3+ years experience with SharePoint (including SharePoint 2010; SharePoint 2013 or SharePoint Online a plus).
• 1+ years' experience with automation technologies (like Kapow Software) is a plus.
• Experience with Business Enterprise Applications a must.
