OTM seeking a QA Engineer for Fortune 500 client company. Pay rate negotiable DOE.

**Local candidates with local experience preferred (Local = San Francisco Bay Area)**

The Services engineering team develops products that focus on building world class platforms and solutions to facilitate adoption of private and public cloud computing. We are a growing team and are looking for a strong QA engineer to service products. The ideal candidate for this role is someone with strong domain knowledge about cloud applications, SAAS, technical background in virtualization technologies, and excellent inter-personal and communication skills.

In this role you will be QE owner and drive testing and functional QE activities of major components for products for Cloud Engineering group.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to architecture, design, and implementation of test plans, authoring test cases, execution, test reports and automation.
• Must be able to execute testing hands-on for solutions based on deep technical knowledge of scalable web/back-end server components and n-tier architectures.
• Work in an agile team environment (scrum) with distributed teams while implementing engineering best-practices.
• Designing and Developing test automation framework components using (Java, Perl or Python) and Automation Tools (Jmeter, Load testing tools, TestNG).
• Work on testing high-uptime multitenant Java based services and Linux OS/applications is a must.
• Maintain current hands-on knowledge of the virtualization products



Requirements:

• Sound knowledge of automation and testing methodologies used for testing of complex, large size products.
• Programming proficiency in Perl/Python and other scripting or programming language (Java) is plus.
• Proven ability to think at an enterprise automation level and think at a test architectural level to solve automation problems.
• Must have experience working through all phases of product development including requirements, architecture, design, implementation, validation, release, and maintenance.
• Excellent interaction and communication skills along with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Experience with cross-platform development (Linux, Windows), debugging, and test tools is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 6 or more years directly related
• Experience in testing multi-tenant SaaS systems is desired.
