New Consumer Focused Division
Harland Clarke has created a new business in order to capitalize on the large and growing stationery, greetings and wedding stationery markets. Recent market analysis have indicated that a dynamic shift in consumer buying behavior is underway in the personalized stationery market which is expected to grow to $2.9B over the next 5 years in the U.S. alone. Consumers and businesses are migrating from traditional outlets to a more convenient and personalized online experience. However, only 2% of stationery related transactions are done on-line, versus 7-10% for many categories. Combined with Harland Clarke's remarkable printing, customer service and organizational strengths, these market dynamics have opened a window of opportunity for Harland Clarke Stationery to become a leader in the personalized online stationery market. The new Jackson Square Ink business will provide innovative stationery products direct to consumer through wholly owned and operated eCommerce Brands and private label retailer relationships. An existing Harland Clarke commerce website, "Expressionery," www.expressionery.com, will be absorbed into the new Jackson Square Ink business.
