FatSkunk Inc, an EvoNexus incubated startup funded by Qualcomm, is out to rid the world of malware on wireless devices, and we are looking for a scary smart engineer to help make it happen.

Job Description; Server engineering

The FatSkunk access server is a highly available and scalable product designed to support hundreds of millions of devices worldwide. The product will be offered both as licensed software for deployment in enterprise networks and as a turnkey service deployed on AWS. Both will be launched at multiple locations worldwide. of locations around the world.

You will provide a service that is core to all modern Internet businesses.
You will be in charge of the complete software development lifecycle; defining, prioritizing, designing, building, and testing new features.
You will be responsible for development and deployment of globally distributed servers.
You will develop the lowest latency and highest throughput services possible.
You will get the opportunity to work closely with a great team of software developers
You will understand what it takes to grow and operate a global business at our scale.

As a developer on the FatSkunk team you should be somebody who enjoys working on systems software, is customer-centric, and feels strongly not only about building good software but also about running that software in the real world.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or 4+ year relevant work experience.
5+ years professional experience in software development.
Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design and analysis.
Expert skill in C and C++, and proficiency with one other programming language
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project.
Strong distributed systems and web services design and implementation experience.
Thorough understanding of Internet protocols such as HTTP, DNS, TCP, and UDP.
Experience implementing servers in a Linux environment
Experience with AWS
