Description
Fidus is seeking a Software Engineer, Network Deployment Tool that is an experienced software development engineer who is excited about taking a lead role on our world-class test development team to define and implement innovative ways to test networking systems. You will need to have hands-on experience with automated test development, an understanding of networked computer systems, experience in system level testing and performance benchmarking, a background in software development and automation. A positive attitude and a passion for delivering top quality, technically complex products
in a fast-paced environment are required.
Responsibilities:
·Requirements gathering for new functional tests as well as system
integration, reliability and performance characterization tests for new
networking systems.
· Write specifications for automated test framework that deals with real
systems as well as emulated systems, software tests, test reporting automation
and data analysis.
· Develop tests working with hardware and software development project leads.
· Build fast and reliable automation tools for result analysis and reporting.
Requirements:
· BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent. MS preferred.
· At least 4 years experience with UNIX/Linux server architectures, networked
system environments and networking protocols. Strong distributed systems and
architecture knowledge preferred.
· Strong programming capabilities in at least one of the following: C, C++,
python.
· Experience with the most of the following: automated test development, linux
or Unix OS, device drivers, file systems, firmware, x86 architectures.
· Ability to independently lead a test development project working with
software, hardware, firmware and networking engineers, including task planning
and code reviews.
· Experience with multi-tiered mission-critical systems preferred.
· Proven ability to share knowledge with more junior team members.
