Job Description
As a member of the storage architecture team you will be working on the design and development of object based network attached storage systems. As part of your job you will be working with other software and hardware teams to develop a high performance and reliable storage system. You will also be working with senior engineers from other areas to help tune the end-to-end performance of the storage cluster.

Responsibilities
• Overall file system module design, implementation and enhancements of existing software
• Resolve difficult technical software issues and fix bugs
• Guide and participate in test plan execution and completion
• Assist in the debugging of device driver and system software issues
• Assist in the development of system integration and regression test plans for the file system kernel module and related infrastructure
• Work with Marketing and Architects to determine requirements for the storage sub-system
• Participate in the Storage Networking Industry Association OSD standardization efforts
• Develop specifications for storage sub-system enhancements and assist in writing driver and firmware requirements
• Interface with disk drive vendors to understand roadmaps, find technologies that are required for performance improvement of storage sub-system of architecture and provide recommendations.
• Work with Service team to ensure that new features can be easily maintained and serviced.
• Participate in the training of QA and the service teams on new features that have been developed by the team.
• Work on high priority/critical issues found at customer sites.

Experience/Qualifications
• 5+ years industry experience developing Network-related software products.
• Extensive knowledge of C/C++, kernel level development, multi-threading / parallel programming, distributed systems, and fault-tolerance techniques.
• Knowledge of network file systems protocols (NFS, CIFS, AFS) preferred.
• Knowledge of SAN & NAS storage paradigms a plus.
• Ability to work in teams.

Plusses
• Knowledge of Object Storage
• Experience with NFS v4.1

Requirements:
• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience
