Job Description:
Our Santa Clara client is a leading provider of network access and monitoring solutions which help companies achieve peak performance in network security. The successful candidate will design/modifiy, develop, write and implement applications. The successful candidate will rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and perform a variety of tasks. He/She could provide consultation on complex projects. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Responsibilities include:
Work with the Engineering Manager and other team members for architecture and system design
Design and implement real time embedded systems code for new products
Write Functional Specifications and Detailed Design documents
Conduct unit, integration and system test for responsible products
Work on enhancing and updating existing products
Provide project estimates for timely coordination of project activities
Provide technical advice and/or support to the Product Manager and Technical Support personnel
Required Skills:
BS/MS in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field, Masters preferred.
5 years Embedded Software Development experience in Network device systems preferred.
Experience with PowerPC or MIPS based platform
Strong embedded Linux Operating System experience
Hands on Broadcom, Marvell or Fulcrum SDK and related driver experience
Familiar with Layer2, Layer3 network protocols and implementation
Ability to independently manage product life-cycle
Results driven problem solver with the ability to function in a team environment
