Cresta Partners, a leading executive search firm, has been retained to conduct a search for a world-class Senior User Interface Architect for our client, a world leading supplier of Computation Fluid Dynamics (CFD) solutions to the global engineering community. We're looking for a stellar Senior User Interface Architect to create the next-generation engineering interface for our flagship multi-physics software solutions. As a member of our world class engineering team, you will design and implement essential components of the user interface including: workflow (simulation setup), window management, accelerated input methods (graphics, tabular data, math functions), and interaction with 3D display. This is a challenging and rewarding position where you can provide enhanced productivity to physicists and engineers, allowing them even greater insight into very large numerical simulations.
Essential Skills
•Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline. Experience: BS with 6+ years or MS / PhD with 4+ years of experience in user interface design.
•2+ years of experience with large systems software design and development with a demonstrated track record in object-oriented design.
•Solve complex design problems and create simple, elegant interfaces for next-generation products
•Extensive programming experience in C/C++ and/or Java with emphasis on object oriented design skills.
•Experience with one or more of the following: Netbeans, Java using Swing, or SWT
•Strong communication skills; track record of successfully working in a collaborative environment; facilitate brainstorming and working sessions with cross-functional teams; lead small teams.

•Algorithms and data structures experience
•Engineering data reduction techniques
•Visualization
