Title: Principal Java Engineer
Duration: - 3months ++ (Contract to Hire)
Rate: - DOE
Location: - Menlo Park CA

Detailed Description

• Perform software requirement analysis.
• Responsible for software design and engineering.
• Responsible for code development.
• Lead and supervise development and deployment of software products.
• Provide leadership to software development teams and mentor junior staff.
• Evaluation of existing software architecture, proposing new directions and leading change.
• Design, implement, document, test and debug major software solutions.
• Analyze and fix complex software problems.
• Conceptualize and prototype UI models for review and usability testing.

Required Skill

At least 9 years experience.
Expertise in Java including JDK 1.5. SCJP Strongly Preferred.
Extensive past experience in developing Web Applications using Serves, JDBC, JSP, Tag Libraries, Struts and similar web frameworks.
Expertise in Spring and Spring MVC.
Expert in SOA with proven expertise in Webservices Development.
Strong background in Enterprise Application Development especially in highly available consumer facing websites/applications.
Strong design skills. Should have ability to read Functional Requirement Specs and come up with technical design.
Strong object oriented development skills.
Expertise in Hibernate preferably 3.x, JPA.
Expertise in Maven.
Expertise in Junit with a strong mindset of Test Driven Development.
Expertise in Oracle, SQL.
Strong Experience in XML, XSLT.
Strong Experience with Tomcat and/or Jetty.
Strong Experience with open source products such as Apache Commons, Log4j.
Strong Agile Background such as XP, Scrum.
Expertise in using IDEs such as Eclipse, JBuilder, IntelliJ.
Unix/Linux background.
Must be a self starter requiring minimal supervision.
'Can Do' attitude and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
