Lead Linux Release Engineer
ActiveVideo Networks is seeking a Lead Linux Release Engineer who will be responsible for setting up, maintaining and creating robust, scalable and fault tolerant build environments in both Windows and Linux platforms, creating build environments as virtual machines for cable and IPTV set-top box clients, managing and supporting the builds and releases, administering and managing the distributions of software and firmware releases, consolidating, maintaining and defining branch and release policies regarding the source code control system.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
• 7+ years of hands on experience with build and release software configuration management in Linux(primary) and Windows(secondary) environments (Microsoft Visual C / C++ and Linux GCC)
• Subject Matter Expert in Java and Linux RPM build systems
• Knowledge of Web services, Apache HTTPD, IIS, CentOS, Squid
• Experience with TCP/IP networking
• Experience with automated builds and deployments to multiple QA environments
• Expert knowledge of industry-standard source code control systems
• Expertise with build tools such as Make and Apache Ant, Maven, and Gump
• Strong knowledge of complex environments involving headend equipment, load balancers, and IBM Tivoli
• Excellent analytical, problem solving skills, and attention to detail; production support experience
• Ability to lead others and manage complex technical projects/tasks at a detailed level in a very fast paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and experienced with working effectively in cross-functional teams
