Senior User Interface Developer
San Francisco Bay, CA
Senior User Interface Engineer to contribute heavily on our core application platform team to help the team build elegant, responsive UIs for the web and mobile web user interfaces. Driven by the challenge of solving unique and often hard, technical problems in a compressed time frame while keeping in mind the requirements of the business and the user experience.
Responsibilities
Write front-end code in PHP, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript
Implement new features and optimize existing ones from controller-level to UI
Work closely with, and incorporate feedback from, product management, interaction designers, and back-end engineers
Rapidly fix bugs and solve problems
Pro-actively look for ways to make our UI specifically, and software in general, be the best it can be
Required Skills and Experience
7 to 9 years of related professional software development experience
Strong understanding of web and web-related technologies
Deep experience with application development in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Knowledge of SQL and development of database-backed web applications
Familiarity with one or more relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Postgres, or Oracle)
Solid development habits and practices
Experience developing technical design documentation and participating in a technical design and code peer review process
Natural problem-solver and troubleshooter
Must be comfortable working in a GNU Linux/Unix environment
