Pay Rate: DOE

JOB SUMMARY
The Application Analyst functions as the primary support contact and expert for the application. They work under the direction of the Team Lead to configure, build & install the application.They coordinate all issues that arise during the project for their application area. Key operational activities include primary responsibility to analyze workflows and understand policies, procedures and constraints of the clinical or business operations support by the application. In depth and precise investigation and documentation of operational specifications and application functionality is required. Key technical activities include the analysis of new releases to determine how workflow should be modified, building and populating databases and tables during initial system configuration, conducting system testing and conversion data validation.The application analyst develops and documents internal procedures and establishes change control processes for the application.

The Application Analyst also develops user training aids and trains end users in workflow and use of the application. They functions as the primary contact to troubleshoot problems and questions from end-users during training, go-live and stabilization periods. Successful candidates are skilled communicators who made decisions independently and in collaboration with others up and down the project structure. Attention to detail is a critical skill for this position. Successful candidates enjoy helping other user to learn and adopt to use of the application.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
This position reports to the Team Lead in their designated area and reports to home department as dotted line, as applicable.

DUTIESAND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Configure, build, and install the application 30%
Analyze, document and adjust workflow to maximize application functionality 20%
With subject matter experts, develop and document precise operational specifications and match these to system capabilities 10%
Complete assigned project deliverables accurately and on time 20%
Facilitate workflow validation, system testing, and conversion data validation 10%
Train and support end-users and facilitate end user adoption 10%

OTHERFUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Application Analyst also must lead group discussions and present in front of groups. The candidate should be able to manage multiple and competing tasks. Anticipating and preventing issues is a primary function of the Application Analyst. Prompt identification, escalation and resolution of issues are required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• College level degree or equivalent work experience
• Excellent logic, verbal and math skills
• High functioning team skills, including active listening, rapport building,effective written & verbal communication, receiving and delegating work assignments and escalating and resolving problems
• 3-5years of Epic build experience
• Successful completion of required Epic training and/or certification (See area-specific addendums)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Academic medical center experience

• Epic Certification.
