Title: Program Manger with "Loyalty Program" experience
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 12+ months/quarterly renewal
The Program Manager position is responsible for the operational management of these two highly visible initiatives. As a subject-matter-expert on PAP (Preferred Access Program) and the URP (Universal Rewards Platform), the program manager will influence strategic direction, providing insight and guidance, influencing business architecture, and solutions delivery. While the position maintains an operational focus, the program manager must also be able to contribute a strategic marketing and business perspective and develop broad knowledge of companys business and organizational structure in order to effectively perform all duties.
Responsibilities:
Program Governance:
- Set up and run an effective program structure, drive accountability and productivity, manage risks, communicate effectively with stakeholders. Schedule and manage weekly status meetings, drive action items to completion and drive project timelines and schedules.
Operations:
- Oversee and manage technology vendors who are responsible for the development and maintenance of the technical platform and operational systems, including the integration with the central point bank to enable point consolidation across programs.
- Manage fulfillment vendors, review and approve catalog content, and support partners on technology or catalog-related solutions/issues.
- Provide input on budgets for both programs and review all SOWs prior to submission.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct analysis of CPA and URP performance at the macro and micro level on behalf of the GECP organization, CPA sponsors, URP program partners and other stakeholders.
- Identify data and reporting needs and provide reports/business intelligence as needed.
- Work with the Technology and Research leads in GEC, as well as technology vendors, to identify effective business intelligence solutions.
CPA (Preferred Access Program) Business Development and Relationship Management:
- Identify, pitch and sign-on sponsors from various clients business organizations in order to increase point-earning opportunities for program members and bring in revenue to support cost-neutral operations model.
- Work with sponsors and rest of the CPA team to develop effective sponsorship solutions and manage engagements.
- Provide updates on lead generation/prospecting efforts, closed deals and individual sponsor program results.
URP (Universal Rewards Platform), Partner Recruiting and Relationship Management:
- Identify companys reward programs that are suitable partners for the Universal Rewards Platform, initiate initial requirements/needs discussions, manage proposal and deliver proposals, and initiate the on-boarding process. Support the URP Business Lead in organizing and managing the URP Steering Committee.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing communications, technology leads and engagement managers, providing CPA/URP insight, knowledge and business intelligence to drive the development of effective solutions.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Proven record of managing large-scale programs from concept to program launch and providing ongoing management, analysis and measurement
- Success and strong interest in business development, revenue generation and account management
- Experience in business-to-business marketing, with knowledge of general strategies and approaches in product and service marketing, sales support and relationship marketing
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and success leading or managing cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative with little supervision, while delivering added value, tangible deliverables and quality results
- General technology savvy and knowledge of basic web/software concepts
- Very strong communication, presentation, influencing, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage resources to achieve common delivery milestones
- Strong desire and capacity for learning
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Knowledge/experience with web and/or software applications
- Involvement with change management efforts
- Experience managing relationships with internal stakeholders representing disparate organizations and business goals
- Budgeting and financial management experience, including knowledge of taxation, contra-accruals, and SOX compliance
- Experience with loyalty and rewards programs
