Senior iOS Engineer | Pac-12 Digital
Join the Pac-12 and help lead the development of our mobile apps & TV Everywhere live video streaming experiences. As Senior iOS Engineer, you will have the opportunity to influence product functionality, design, architecture, systems, and evolve our agile development process. We are focused on data driven products and experimentation for swift learning.
Responsibilities:
Drive architecture and technical design for Pac-12 digital mobile products.
Build and maintain our mobile applications including TV everywhere, second screen, in-stadium, and other initiatives.
Coordinate development efforts with product managers, on-staff developers, and contract developers.
Plan, estimate, develop, and deploy updates and new app functionality.
Write exemplary, well-tested code.
Participate in peer code reviews.
Support site operations and respond to performance issues.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Passion for mobile products & development.
At least one app in the App Store and at least one year of dedicated iOS development experience.
Extensive Objective-C or C/C++ background, working on complex software projects using major programming languages: C/C++, C#, Java and Objective-C.
Thorough understanding of iOS Objective-C memory management; C/C++ memory management also acceptable.
Experience with HLS for live video streaming.
Strong understanding of HTTP/REST/API architecture.
Visual design savvy, attention to detail, familiarity with UI/UX standards.
Deep knowledge of iOS SDK UI interaction, user flow standard interaction, and iOS specific interface design patterns.
Agile Development and Continuous Integration using tools such as Jenkins, Unit Tests, Selenium, etc.
Fearlessly willing to leverage the latest cutting-edge web & mobile technologies, strong belief that simplicity trumps complexity in most circumstances, and comfortable with the fact that practicality beats purity.
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong computer science, engineering, math or science background
Deep knowledge of iOS SDK specifically CoreData
HTML/CSS experience (web views etc.)
Experience within the Scrum process
Understanding of things like "pixel perfect mobile design" and interface size constraints

Mobile Development for Web and/or Android.
Data Driven Product Development using experimentation, A/B, and multivariate testing.
