Sr. Front End / Web UI Developer needed for long term project at OTM, for excellent Client Company.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to the new UI Development of numerous large scale web applications.
Key job responsibilities:
•Work as a front-end web developer with Design, QA, and other cross functional teams—understanding and refining user interface requirements, designing and writing code, and troubleshooting bugs when necessary.
•Participate in setting front-end coding standards and guidelines, identify and document best practices. Understand the necessity of and contribute to coding standards.
•Stay up-to-date with new front-end web development technologies, and use them to enhance the usability and efficiency of the site.
•Lead efforts on large-scale, global, web-based projects, ensuring robust and lasting solutions are implemented.
Skills and requirements:
•8+ years industry experience, 6+ years Web UI experience, 5+ years of experience coding in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
•Javascript experience a must ( jQuery, Dojo, YUI). Heavy Javascript experience a plus (JSON, OO Javascript, ExtJS).
•Knowledge and eagerness to implement current web design and development trends including HTML5, CSS3.
•Ability to address and quickly fix browser compatibility issues.
•Strong understanding of performance, web analytics, SEO techniques.
•Familiarity with server side technologies and back-end frameworks.
•Experience with subversion or similar versioning file management systems.
•Strong teamwork, communication skills, and time management abilities.
•Passion for creating a great user experience.
•BS required, MS preferred. Computer Science degree is a plus.
