We seek an Embedded Software Engineer to join our Engineering team in San Jose – they will be responsible for designing and implementing embedded software for next generation IP-based precise time and frequency delivery and distribution systems.


Preferred Experience Requirements for the role include:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics
• Minimum 10 years of embedded software design experience with 3 year minimum writing

programs for embedded Linux

• Solid programming experience in C and C++ with emphasis on embedded systems
• Hands on experience with embedded Linux development environment and tool chain
• Solid understanding of OS coding techniques such as threading, processes, IPC, drivers, interrupts, etc
• Solid experience of using IP protocols and network programming
• Understand hardware subsystems, interfaces and hardware debugging method
• Excellent communication, writing and organizational skills

Experience or knowledge in one or more of the following areas will be greatly valued:

• Packet network time synchronization protocols, such as NTP and IEEE-1588
• Telecom and network protocols and technologies such as T1/E1/SDH, IPv4 and IPv6
• Wireless communication systems and networks
• Network security protocols such as Radius and others
