Web Production Manager
As a web production manager at Synopsys, you will work in close partnership with product marketing, creative design, web development, information technology, and other organizations to plan, coordinate and execute web content updates and related web strategy on Synopsys' corporate web sites. The ideal candidate must display excellent written and oral skills with demonstrated supervisory and organizational abilities. A candidate for this position must be able to work in a varied, fast paced environment. Flexibility, creative problem solving, and the ability to interact with different levels of management and people with different personality styles is a necessity.
Responsibilities
• Supervise and provide training to a web content management team where most members will be located internationally; Non standard working hours may be required for effective communication and efficiency
• Manage content production and publishing schedules by evaluating and assigning web content update requests to various team members; track completion progress, and communicate status on various projects
• Make content updates on the corporate web site
• Manage a search optimization strategy across Synopsys.com and global web sites including keyword analysis, page rank reporting, and SEO trends
• Collaboratively develop web marketing project requirements and develop project plans including work breakdown structures, timelines, and resource requirements
•Communicate effectively with clients and team members to identify needs, evaluate alternative business and technical solutions, and measure success;
• Communicate objectives, plans, status, issues and risks clearly and effectively to team members, stakeholders and management
• Effectively present, negotiate, and collaborate - regardless of organizational structure or hierarchy; Interact with different levels of management and people with different personality styles
• Recognize system and process deficiencies and implement effective solutions
• Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction, manage client expectations effectively, and deepen client relationships
Required Skills
• Experience working with and supervising a global team
• Professional, team player with strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Superior oral and written communication skills, ability to develop and deliver presentations, and provide training seminars to cross-departmental teams
• Demonstrated experience managing web content publishing projects
• Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively with a cross-departmental team
• Experience with web site metrics analysis and reporting
• Proven experience planning and implementing SEO strategies and reporting
• Experience using and knowledge of CSS, HTML, RSS, video streaming, content management system publishing, publishing web content with attention to layout and web design best practices is required
• Familiarity with SharePoint, MySQL, Flash, interactive application design, WordPress, podcasts is desired
• Familiarity with social media tools and marketing channels such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, RSS, Social bookmarking and general familiarity with community platforms is desired
• Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and solve problems analytically
• Understand complex database concepts as well as the implications of different database designs
• Integrity, energy, ability to multitask, proven ability to meet tight deadlines
• 3 to 5 years of experience managing web content updates and people management/supervisory skill is required
• BS degree in computer science or related field is desirable
