Hardware Design Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop RFID tag and reader products focusing on electrical subcomponents.
• Indentify and characterize and qualify key components.
• Perform feasibility studies with focus on technology, material, assembly and
electrical solutions which comply with product specification.
• Perform board bring-up, design validation and product qualification.
• Create hardware test plans and protocols, functional specs and test reports.
• Lead design reviews and prepare documentation, datasheets and specifications.
• Work closely with Firmware and Software team to develop interfaces and drivers.
• Develop board layouts and perform signal integrity analysis.
Skills/Requirements
• Expertise in digital and analog design
• Experienced in using lab equipments such as scopes, logic and spectrum analyzers, etc.
• Expertise in interface design such as USB, Ethernet, UARTs, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
• Expertise in FPGA, microcontrollers, signal conditional and sensor circuits.
• Understanding battery technologies.
• Capable of developing firmware and participating in code reviews.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
• Knowledge of RF design concepts and RF test methodologies.
• Understanding of Antenna technologies and test parameters.
• Experience working with Linux.
Education
• BS or MS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years related experience.
