Career Summary:
Leverage your strengths in systems and network technologies to support our customers within North America. You have the ability to multi task and work well independently and collaboratively within a small team. You will plan, configure, troubleshoot and maintain TCP/IP networks and effectively communicating with customers and internal staff. You will be responsible for network rollouts that involve planning, procurement, provisioning and implementation. We are a small team and your contributions have an impact on our success.
Responsibilities:
• Provide customer support for Aicent GRX network & application services.
• Interface with customers to troubleshoot issues via telephone and email, and in person.
• Support Aicent employees within the Americas
• Field Engineering to install and maintain servers, routers or other network equipment at our San Jose Data Centers.
• Present a professional interface with customers to instill customer confidence.
• Ability to resolve technical issues in a professional and timely manner
• Interface with our IT Organization in China with installations and maintenance of IT infrastructure, as well as applications for the Americas.
• Document IT procedures and processes for each unique project.
• Effectively troubleshoot and recover network services quickly
• Deliver data network projects as part of a team
Required Experience:
• Excellent English Language skills written and verbal & presentation
• 1-2 years in a Tech Support or a related Engineering role involving troubleshooting customer issues.
• 1-2 years experience / working knowledge of Solaris, Unix or Linux.
• In depth knowledge of TCP/IP, OSPF, L2/L3 MPLS, BGP
• Cisco Router configuration & Cisco family of products
• Proficiency with infrastructure technology including:
Server Hardware
Solaris/UNIX
Windows XP OS
Networking
Storage
Virtualization (VMware , vSphere)
• Solid analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
• Able to successfully identifying and resolve customer issues
• Articulate communicator in English - verbal, written and presentation
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with multiple clients.
• Flexible with a "Can Do" Attitude
• Ability to work well within a dynamic, fast paced environment
• Self Starter able to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision after initial direction.
Education: BSCS, CE, IS or related technical discipline
Pluses: CCNA or CCNP certification is ideal
