Job Summary:
The role of Senior Software Engineer at G2 Tech is to design and develop scalable web applications to meet G2´s expanding business needs. Working collaboratively with Product Management and Development teams to plan, research and propose technology solutions is an essential part of the process. Effectively articulating and documenting design and development requirements is an absolute must. Rapidly developing useable, solid and stable code is critical to success.
Sr Software Engineers- Strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Java, individuals with both backend and frontend experience are highly desired for these roles
Responsibilities:
• Translate static design layouts into working prototypes and dynamic web applications and interfaces
• Plan, research, code and test several web projects with minimal assistance
• Write technical documents related to defining front end, back end and data requirements; diagramming process flows, UML and ERD models, and detailing the technical specification for design, development and testing
• Participate in design and code review sessions
Required Experience:
• 4+ years of experience working in professional software development teams
• Strong background in database and web application development
• Expert in PHP, MySQL, SQL, Javascript, CSS, jQuery, and web development frameworks
• Experience programming on the Magento platform a huge plus
• Self sufficiency in setting up and configuring all aspects of web development environments
• Experience programming in Java nice to have
Required Skills:
• Ability to break down projects into tasks and accurately estimate and meet time to develop
• Articulate and document concepts and details in a clear, complete and logical manner
• Be a self-starter and demonstrate the ability to learn and retain concepts and information quickly
• Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team
• Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail and eye for quality
• Strong oral/written communication skills, organization, and time management skills
Education:
• Minimum Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field
