Solutions Engineer
Description:
Design, implement, and document innovative solutions using the Intelleflex XC3 Technology product line for developing ground-breaking applications. Intelleflex XC3 Technology includes long range battery assisted passive RFID, condition monitoring, and large on-chip memory for data storage. Condition monitoring applications include the monitoring of temperature and humidity for international pharmaceutical shipments, produce from South and Central America, frozen food transportation and distribution. Asset and personnel tracking applications that utilize the XC3 Technology platform read ranges of up to 300 ft include equipment yards, car fleet management, hospital equipment monitoring, and employee evacuation verification. Large on-chip memory RFID applications include e-manifest, equipment maintenance records, and the sensor data of our condition monitoring tags.
Working as a Solutions Engineer at Intelleflex you will work with our ISV and VAR partners to understand their end customer requirements and advise them on creating the most effective solutions with our XC3 Technology products. This will entail documenting detailed solution requirements to crystallize hardware and software requirements, advise our product development team on features for future releases, manage ISV and VAR partner accounts, as well as provide front line level support for partners and their customers with technical assistance. Travel will be required to perform on-site evaluation, demonstrations, and installations (international travel may be required as well).
Skills/Requirements:
 BSEE/BSCE or equivalent
 A good attitude; you should be "smart and get things done".
 Working understanding of RF systems
 Basic understanding/experience with Windows DLL shared library concept, XML encoding format, TCP/IP protocol, Linux file structure, and basic network layout
 Great verbal and written communication skills
 Great interpersonal skills to interface with customers and engineering team
 Comfortable working with your hands: installation of readers and antennas, using tools, assembling fixtures, etc.
Additional Desirable Qualifications:
 RFID systems, protocols, and applications
 Experience working with customers/partners both off and on site
 RF communication system design
 Visual Studio, Visual C++ application development, Visual Basic, C#, Ruby
 Experience working in a Linux environment using SSH, SFTP/FTP, SCP, and VI
Education and Experience:
 Education: BSEE/BSCE or equivalent
 Experience level: 0-20 years
