NetApp Storage PSE (Professional Services Engineer)
JOB Responsibilities:
The Onsite PSE is responsible for the care and support on the storage infrastructure at a major datacenter or customer location. Services can include maintenance and troubleshooting, planning for growth, auditing performance, installation and implementation services of new storage equipment, primarily NetApp (Network Appliance) HW and SW solutions. Supporting the client to meet their needs in a fiscally responsible manner, delivering all services in a timely and professional manner, and always achieving high customer satisfaction is critical.
This service requires an individual with excellent technical skills as well as the ability to effectively communicate, take work direction, work independently, and have ability to think of whole picture when solving day to day problems.
Expertise in NetApp; expertise in other platforms (HDS, EMC, HP, SUN, DataDomain, Pillar, IBM, etc.) is a plus. Certification also a plus.
Project Management and planning experience is a plus. Experience with architecting and implementing solutions including backup/DR sites, applications, data migrations, etc a plus.
Flexibility to support assignments after hours and weekends is critical.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 4+ years of experience with storage preferred
• Advanced knowledge of at least one major storage vendor (NetApp, HP, EMC, HDS, IBM, DataDomain, Pillar, etc.) and associated NAS and SAN implementations
• Proficiency in at least one of the following operating systems: AIX, Solaris, Linux, Windows
Desired Qualifications:
• Bachelor´s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering or related technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with storage optimization techniques or technologies such as storage virtualization, thin provisioning, or de-duplication.
• Experience w/Data Storage Admin Tools (i.e. Tivoli Storage Manager [TSM])
• Experience w/SAN Storage Provisioning (i.e. EFCM)
• Experience w/Tape Software (i.e. Symantec Netbackup 6.5)
• Experience with NetApp technologies including CIFS/NFS, Snapshots, SnapMirror, SnapVault, Operations Manager, Provisioning Manager, Protection Manager, Multistore, Vseries, Configuring VIFs, VLAN tagging in NetApp environment
• Experience with Data Migration technologies and tools and delivering on projects
• Experience with NetApp SnapManager application products (SnapManager for Exchange, SnapManager for Oracle, etc.)
