SAS DATA SCIENTIST

DURATION – 6 MONTHS PLUS

LOCATION – SAN JOSE, CA OR RTP, NC

TYPE – CONTRACT

JOB REQUIREMENT



 
• A minimum of 4 years experience working as a Data Miner using SAS Enterprise Miner and/or SAS Stat;

 
• A minimum of 2 years experience with R;

 
• Considerable experience with Hadoop and related "Big Data" technologies (PIG, Hive, Mahout, Spark, Skytree, etc)

 
• Significant experience in traditional data mining techniques such as Decision Trees, Logistic Regression, Neural Networks, Clustering, etc.

 
• Formal Educational background in Statistics, Mathematics, Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence, Econometrics or related field is a must

 
• Significant experience and strong skills in data preparation for Data Mining

• SAS Certification or Training in Enterprise Miner and SAS programming is highly desirable





QUALIFICATIONS

 
• Strong oral communication skills in English are absolutely fundamental.

• Significant experience working remotely as part of a geographically disperse team;

 
• Being able to attest self motivation and a strong ability to meet deadlines in a collaborative, project focused environment;

 
• Academic background in Statistics

 
• Experience with Dun Bradstreet data
