Senior Data Analyst
The Sage Group is looking for a Senior Data Analyst for its client, a leading financial services software company. You will leverage your technical skills, business acumen, and creativity to extract and analyze massive data sets, build marketing data analysis to surface insights and key business metrics, create scripts to automate otherwise tedious data mining tasks, and much more. Responsibilities
· Partner closely with business and technical teams to understand their project objectives and provide data-driven marketing analysis and recommendations
· Ability to sift through large amounts of information, extract the key marketing insights, and communicate succinctly
· Partner directly with the product development team on product instrumentation, product flow and data capture
· Ensure solutions are scalable, repeatable, efficient and effective
Skills Required
· Strong marketing analysis background
· B.S. in a quantitative field - Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or related fields (MS is a plus)
· 4+ years of work experience involving quantitative data analysis
· Database experience with advanced SQL skills; experience researching and manipulating complex and large data sets; Hadoop experience a plus
· Proficient in one or more scripting languages, such as Python or Perl
· Knowledge of complex analytical tools, such as R,SAS or Stata
· Experience in web analytics tools – SiteCatalyst, SiteSpect, Google Analytics
· Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau
Length: 6+ months-likely long term contract
Location: Menlo Park, CA
Timing: Immediate
