AccountNow, Inc. (www.AccountNow.com) is a fast growing, privately held company providing financial solutions to the under-served/unbanked consumer market. AccountNow provides lower cost alternatives to this market with products including "second chance" bank accounts, debit cards, credit builder and bill payment services through numerous marketing channels.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assess and identify opportunities to prevent financial and reputation risk
• Identify and research complex patterns and anomalies in transactional and customer data to detect, prevent, mitigate, and report suspicious activity related to money laundering and terrorist financing
• Perform detailed analyses and effectively communicate findings to the VP and Directors of the Risk Management department
• Establish ongoing monitoring to alert departmental personnel when suspicious activity is identified
• Assist with aggregation of data and ensure data quality is sufficient for all departmental analysis tasks
• Implement and distribute risk-related MIS
• Facilitate and implement post-implementation reviews for new products and processes to ensure accuracy and stability
Qualifications:
• 2-3 years experience in fraud or risk analytics in the financial services or payments industry
• Knowledge of the Anti-Money Laundering regulations, Regulation E, USA Patriot Act, Bank Secrecy Act, and OFAC, and Visa and MasterCard rules as they relate to customer identification and payment transaction monitoring and dispute processing
• Extensive experience analyzing very large data sets, with particular strengths in Excel and SQL
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to present findings concisely and clearly
• Detail oriented, ability to multi-task, and strong time management skills
• Ability to resolve complex problems in a fast paced environment
• Four-year college degree required
