Windows System Administrator

3-4 Months + Contract to hire
Administer systems supporting the mission critical enterprise services:
Monitor system health and performance; analyze and resolve reported system and application problems; and patch and update servers/application software as necessary
Design, Plan, Provision, Deploy, Document, and Maintain Windows servers, applications,
Safeguard data processing operations by identifying potential problem areas and single points of failure that may result in interruptions to critical data processing operations. Develop and implement Disaster Recovery, Data Sensitivity and Performance Monitoring Methods,
Back-up and Recovery, and Disaster Recovery Plans and Procedures.
Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.
Responsible for the administration of: Windows Server 2003 and 2008
Some Network Security, including firewall and VPN
Skills/Experience
6+ years experience as a Systems Administrator
High Proficiency in Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2008 R2
Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policies
Some knowledge of Cisco IOS, Switches, Routers, and Security Systems
Experience preferred with: Windows Server 2008, Remote Desktop Services, ,troubleshooting and performance optimization, Exchange 2007 Server, Enterprise Anti-Virus and Anti-Spam Solutions, Enterprise Wireless Networking, Security and Management, Enterprise Level Backup
Excellent interpersonal skills, customer service, oral and written communication skills
