We are searching for a very strong Technical Team Leader who will be hands-on in the field servicing clients, while also mentoring our existing engineers. Your energy, experience and know-how will be setting the pace and keeping up standards for the whole team. You'll be joining an established company with a good reputation where your ideas and desire for constant improvement are welcome and respected.

• I have the ability to lead and mentor junior team members of varying experience
• I have wide technical expertise in the SMB (small medium business) arena
• I've got at least 10-15 years under my belt working with servers, networks, design and troubleshooting and I possess broad knowledge in these areas
• I'm an excellent communicator – both written & verbal – and I'm always timely with it
• I'm excited at the prospect of diving in and revamping processes and procedures
• I'm very efficient and organized and I understand the importance of entering all my time for billing purposes
• I'm a high energy type of person and I'm exceedingly professional at all times

• Take absolute pride in their quality of work and attention to details. As we support our customers businesses we need Network Engineers who understand the importance of being highly responsive. This means all of their assigned clients' servers have 100% uptime.

• Possess strong experience with: Microsoft Server 2008/2003/2000, Windows 7 down to Windows 3.1, Microsoft Office 2010 down to Office 9x, Exchange 2010/2007/2003/2000/5.x, multiple 3rd party applications, software installation/removal, data backups/restores, antivirus/firewalls/security, Internet/networking/wireless connectivity, remote access, UPSs, print servers and basic printer maintenance and repair.

• Bonus skills include: Microsoft Small Business Server 2008/2003, Windows SharePoint Server, VoIP, Hosting, VMware, Hyper-V, NAS solutions, Apple/Mac, Linux and UNIX are all bonuses.

• Are used to being an escalation point for more complex technical issues. A big part of this job will be to guide our junior team members in honing their own troubleshooting abilities and thus raising their confidence level. The mentoring duties should be teaching equal parts of technical know-how, communication with the clients and with each other, and professionalism on the job.

• Expert at managing their time while juggling priorities. Always keeping our service coordinator apprised of their whereabouts and project status. Work efficiently so that a minimum of 6 hours is billable EVERYDAY.

• Like working with servers, workstations, network security, smart phones, monitoring tools and developing new solutions involving Microsoft Exchange, Windows 7, SharePoint, Virtual PCs, Office 2007 and 2010, and mobility solutions.

• Honor their commitments to our clients – by completing the work correctly the first time – and everytime!

• Understand the importance of network audits and network security, site documentation, continual monitoring and preventative maintenance of everything in a client's environment, software patching and support. This means 100% compliance in ensuring all patches and updates are applied.

• LOVE learning new technologies and deploying them.

• Faithfully enter their billable time on each work ticket BEFORE they leave the client site into company ERP software.

• Ensure ZERO virus and spyware outbreaks and all patches and updates are applied.

• Have or working towards Microsoft MCP or MCSE certifications. Other certifications like CompTIA's A+ or Network+, Cisco CCNA and 3rd Party Certifications including: HP, Dell, IBM and others – are a big bonus.

• Have a very professional work ethic - from dress and appearance to their communication style on the telephone, via email and in-person. Absolutely must be reliable, organized, and punctual. We also want people who are very comfortable communicating with their co-workers and are always happy to jump in and help one another.
