Job Description:
Ancestry.com is looking for a Senior Product Manager to direct our expanding social application product development efforts. We're looking for someone with experience in developing and launching social apps and integration points as well as general experience in product management of mobile and/or consumer-facing Internet services. This position is full-time and based in either our Provo, Utah or San Francisco, California offices.
Sr. Product Manager- Should have solid background working with web 2.0 applications or social networking applications, critical for this role
Key Responsibilities / Performance Requirements:
• Write detailed business and functional requirements and launch plans to define and implement social applications for Ancestry.com
• Help drive the strategic direction of Ancestry's social integration with Facebook and other social networking platforms
• Lead a cross-functional team (engineering, UX, marketing, QA) to produce and successfully launch fantastic product experiences
• Define success metrics and reporting needs to monitor post-launch performance
• Drive continual product improvements and inform the product roadmap with new ideas based on ongoing customer research, market/competitive analysis, and product performance (based on the aforementioned metrics)
Required Skills:
• 3+ years of experience in product management required, ideally at a leading consumer internet company
• 1+ years of experience in the definition of social applications and/or social integration points
• Experience working in an agile development environment
• Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and working collaboratively with stakeholders
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proven track-record of shipping world-class products
• Strong technical background with history of successful partnerships with engineering
• B.S. or B.A. required, MBA preferred
• Experience in product management of mobile apps a strong plus
• Ability to speak multiple languages a plus
