#1373 - Senior Supply Chain Manager

The Senior Supply Chain Manager is responsible for ensuring that we provide the products our customers want, when they want them, while maintaining an optimal level of inventory. In this role you will be responsible for all aspects of forecasting, communicating, and aligning demand and supply for our business.

As key and very visible member of the Operations Team, you will be responsible for interacting with all levels in the organization. You will be expected to be a quick and independent decision maker who is confident in discussing issues and opportunities with customers and company executives alike. You will need to be self-motivated, team-oriented, and highly ethical.

On a day-to-day basis, your ability to effectively prioritize work will distinguish your performance.

Responsibilities:
- Identifying and forecasting total demand for assigned products by interfacing with Marketing, Sales, Product Management and our customer base.
- Facilitating the monthly unit forecast, reporting, and analysis process. Present forecast change findings in monthly executive meetings.
- Working closely with Marketing, Sales, and Manufacturing to determine impact of upcoming promotional events and holiday inventory planning.
- Coordinating with Product Development, Marketing and new product operational teams to set launch quantities and to ensure smooth product transitions.
- Working with Production Planners to determine forward-looking supply position.
- Developing and implementing product allocation plans when demand exceeds supply. Partner with global procurement teams to allocate constrained components.
- Managing, in conjunction with customer service, customer past due backlog with the specific purpose of proactively closing any supply gaps within Operations.
- Acting as a liaison between Manufacturing, Procurement, and Sales to ensure the alignment of forecasts and proper inventory planning.
- Working with Product Management and Procurement teams to develop optimum safety stock levels for finished goods or key components.
- Monitoring weekly sales by Family/Model/SKU and report on trends to Sales and Product Management, including any recommended forecast adjustments.
- Proactively notifying Operations and Sales when demand patterns significantly change from established and/or expected run rates
- Working with Sales and Product Marketing to ensure minimal material obsolescence during product transition.
- Analyzing quarterly excess and obsolescence (E&O) to determine exposure and disposition on responsible product line. Report findings to CFO.
- Organizing, facilitating and completing rework of excess stock into saleable product.
- Answering supply escalations and close supplying gaps for un-forecasted orders.
- Conducting ongoing forecast analysis to ensure that best forecast methods and tools are employed to create increasingly accurate forecasts.
- Preparing ad-hoc analyses and reports in support of key internal customers.

Desired Qualifications:
- 5+ years work experience in supply chain management or financial forecasting.
- Undergraduate degree in an analytical field. Other certifications, such as an MBA or CFA would be helpful, but are not required.
- Advanced skills in Oracle
- APICS (CPIM), ISM (CPM) Certification preferred.
- Advanced or Expert Microsoft Excel skills.
- History of using predictive metrics to drive improved performance.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and drive tasks to closure.
- Excellent conceptual and advanced mathematical and statistical analysis skills related to forecasting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with a broad range of business associates.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication and presentation skills are very important since this position regularly interacts with customers and our executives.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years work experience in supply demand balancing, supply chain management or financial forecasting, or combination of analyst and business, marketing, or product management experience.
