Software Seed Engineer
Tasks to be Performed
The successful candidate is required to perform the following work:
- Plan and drive the technical execution, logistics, and support for the internal seeding of Mac OS X
- Work with engineering teams to ensure effective seeding of their product during development
- Manage the collection, analysis and escalation/resolution of issues reported by customers during testing of pre-release software
- Ensure high standards are maintained for feedback escalated into engineering from customers
- Interact directly with customers and with internal development and support teams
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of Apple software technologies to aid customers with their participation in the seeding program
The role would also involve monitoring our private discussions, coaching customers to submit bugs and bringing import issues to the attention of others on the team.
Skills Required
- BS/MS EE/CS/CE or equivalent, plus 1-3 years of relevant work experience in the software industry
- Must have excellent project management, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Mac OS X
- Prior experience in a technical support or quality assurance role is a strong plus
