Application and Solution Architect
Location: San Jose, CA
Terms: 6 Months Contract-to-hire
Key Skills: Java, J2EE Pattern, Spring, Hibernate, MVC, Messaging, SOA
Job Responsibilities:
* As a member of the Application Architecture team you will:
* Be counted on to set architectural direction for critical areas of the client*s systems.
* Work with several senior level software designers and their development teams to guide new feature development.
* Contribute to the architectural principals and technology standards that raise the availability and scalability of client*s online business.
* Make technology selection decisions, including assessing and recommending external vendors.
Critical Requirements:
You must:
* Be passionate about providing world-class solutions for millions of customers across the world
* Have strong business and technical vision and the ability to communicate this vision to all levels of management
* Exhibit strong leadership and strong technical skills
* Possess a proven history of innovation in a high-pressure environment
* Be able to make high quality decisions with limited information
* Thrive in an environment of constant change
* Be a quick learner undaunted by complex systems or large code bases
* Experience with architecting state of the art application using Java, J2EE pattern, Spring, Hibernate and MVC
* Experience with SOA
Preferred Requirements:
The ideal candidate will also have:
* Experience with the payments industry, online transaction processing (OLTP), and/or world-class websites.
* Experience with the Linux development environment, W3C standards such as XML, XSL, HTTP, XHTML, CSS, etc.; cryptography; data modeling
Education:
BS in computer science or equivalent
