The Analytics Engineer is someone with a passion for organizing, analyzing, and optimizing data. The systems you create will be critical to the superior gaming experience our players have come to expect. You're a quick thinker with solid experience in database-driven web technologies, and you thrive working in a high-volume system. The position will provide many interesting, hard-core technical challenges. The ideal candidate can handle the development for all aspects of design and development of server-side and client-side software for a complete visual analytics system.
Specific Duties include:
Collaborate to produce and manage high quality code
Execute organized, coherent code
Demonstrate comfort with complex code bases
Take ownership of a project life-cycle: from specifications through QA
Required Skills:
B.S. in Computer Science or Mathematics (or equivalent hands-on experience)
5-7 years of experience in software development
At least 5 years work experience with two of the following languages: PHP, Python, Java, C++, Ruby, Erlang
Experience developing web applications in a Linux environment (LAMP)
At least 3 years with one or more of the following MySQL, postgress, Oracle, MS SQL Server
Working knowledge of front-end technologies (Javascript, CSS, HTML)
Interest in and ability to assess data sets and perform data visualization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Passion for gaming, especially social gaming
