If you´ve chosen a QA role as your passion and interest, then you like finding things that don't work and ensuring the product is made better. As an experienced QA Engineer for our SaaS team, you've dealt with complex applications and may have already experienced the challenge of supporting an on-demand application and you're ready for another challenge. You'll apply your strong object oriented programming or automation tools expertise with the goal of delivering next generation product.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and participate in the testing of the SaaS (on-demand) software applications to assure quality and stability prior to deployment in our production environments
• Configure, administer and troubleshoot software test environments
• Create well defined repeatable test cases
• Record, report and track defects in a format defined by FRS policy to accurately depict the status of the system
• Participate in defect/bug bash meetings
• Produce testing status reports and acting as a single point of contact for defect tracking issues and updates, communicate with other FRS team members to convey current status of product or problem
• Review product documentation related to a feature area and verify that the documentation accurately reflects product functionality
• Study new technologies and products required by FRS testing process
• Apply strategies and approaches for identifying risks with implementation, assessing their likelihood and initiating strategies to test for those risks
• Apply and recommend improvements to the current software test methodologies and processes.
• Possibly design, develop, and execute automation scripts that test API and eliminate excessive repeatable manual cycles if skill permits
Requirements:
• Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent
• 7+ years software quality experience; 2+ years testing WEB applications in a multi-tiered environment
• Working knowledge of testing WEB Services
• Ability to understand and test client side JavaScript applications
• Experience with automated testing scripts generation and testing
• Experience with SQA tools such as QTP, Selenium, SilkTest
• Demonstrated expertise in QA procedures and methodology
• Experience setting up and configuring complex environments like integration between different application servers (like Lotus Notes, Groupwise, eDirectory etc)
• Familiar with operating systems and network administration (MS Windows)
• Experience with MS SQL, Oracle
• Strong knowledge in SQL
• Must possess excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to identify less tested areas, issue trends, measure coverage
• Experience in any of the following areas is a plus: software development, Jscript, call interface methods like COM, help desk product QA or development
• Previous relevant work experience in a SaaS (on-demand) enterprise applications environment is a plus
• Prior experience working with remote teams is a strong plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
