We're looking for someone who is passionate about building market leading products as part of a highly motivated team in the key role of Product Management Director, Licensing/SAM
Description
In this position you´ll be responsible for License Manager, Compliance and SAM solution delivery through all phases of the product lifecycle from market research, requirements definition, development validation and decision making, commercial release, market launch, sales readiness and post-launch support. With aggressive schedules, you must find creative ways to execute all aspects of product management including prioritized product requirements, definition of the solution vision and roadmap, create use cases for product validation and project manage organizational readiness for product releases across the business.
Responsibilities:
Direct responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
• Set the strategic direction and vision for license management / SAM product offerings
• Identify new opportunities and areas of growth
• Provide product and sales training to the field teams in support of product launch
• Perform market and competitive analysis to keep current with functional industry trends and requirements to assist in developing product roadmap definitions that will enhance the overall value of product offerings, engaging with sales prospects, customers and partners
• Acting as a key internal and external champion and spokesperson for the product line, maintain a team-oriented working environment that promotes open discussion on important issues, a high level of personal commitment and accountability to the business, and a continued focus on quality and customer service
• Work with customers to understand and define product requirements and emerging market needs
• Based on market-driven feedback from customers and prospects, write clear product requirements and use cases
• Work closely with development managers to define the contents and delivery of a product release
Requirements:
• 10+ years in the software business with a minimum of 3 years with a leading license or service asset management company in a Product Management role
• Bachelor´s in Computer Information Sciences, Computer Science, Business or Finance
• Previous business, computer or management skills
• Managed commercial software products from inception to market rollout
• Good business judgment
• Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills
• Demonstrated success at effectively managing and prioritizing several projects at once
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Effectively within a cross-functional collaborative organization
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
• Experience designing and creating successful applications with "leading edge" technology
• In depth knowledge of Windows desktop products like Word, Excel, Email and Project management software
